DESCRIPTION: The teachers play an important role in the management of classroom bullying. Teachers are in an influential position as educators and agents of socialization, helping to promote healthy relationships among students and to prevent negative interactions. Teachers could react in a number of ways after a bullying episode or before it occurs they can take preventing measures.
HERE ARE SOME MEASURES :
1. As a teacher you can create a place that's safe and supportive. This means encouraging students to open up about incidents of bullying so they can be addressed by you, and others staff members immediately - before it's too late.
2. If you stop an incident of bullying, separate the children involved and gather all of the facts and what may have led to the situation. it's important to support both the victim and the aggressor.
3. From the earliest ages, students should participate in activities that boost social-emotional learning. As a teacher, find ways to help children understand and appreciate their identity as well as others.
4. Be sure you are able to recognize the most common types of bullying as well as cyberbullying indicators.
5. When targeted students feel connected to peers. They're better able to cope with being bullied. Teaching students to speak up when they witness bullying behavior, and to take a stand against it, can reduce future bullying situations.
6. Victims of bullying are often afraid or embarrassed to come forward. As a result, you may need to reply to other students to let them know when bullying is occurring. Identify your class leaders early in the school year and check in with them. Let them be your eyes and ears when you cannot be present.
