What is your best memory so far as a teacher? I once saved one of my students during his class 10 board exam, when he was in a very critical condition and his family wanted to drop his year. I supported him and mentally prepared his whole family. Finally he attempted the board exam and passed the exam with 76%. He is now doing his PhD in engineering. When he declared his result, it gave me so much pleasure. |
How were you introduced to Gurushala?
I was introduced to Gurushala through one day training conducted in our school by Pratham Education Foundation. And gradually, I became a part of Gurushala. I like the training section the most as it is very useful. Through the pedagogies and knowledge that we get through this section, it seems to be very effective and helpful to our teaching-learning process.
I have often applied the tips and tricks shared during Gurushala training in my classes and while using ICT tools.I have participated in a lot of activities organized by Gurushala and have received gifts and appreciation as well.

How do you wish to bring change in society?
I wish to contribute to the society that I am living in by teaching not only subjects but also by giving the knowledge of our culture, inculcating integrity and honesty in human beings. I want to create honest teachers, bureaucrats, politicians and human beings.
A teacher can be so many things- a guide, a mentor, a friend and much more. We have seen this saying become true by knowing about Dobhal’s ideas and experiences as a teacher.
