It is in the most ordinary of the moments that you find life changing lessons. Let’s read about one such student who likes to live life to the fullest and utilize every opportunity coming her way. Sofia Rehmani is a student of class 7 of Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh. She likes Hindi language and playing Badminton. Her most preferred way of learning is by reading textbooks to understand concepts.

What is your favorite subject and what do you like the most about that subject?
My favorite subject is Hindi because I love stories. I have read one story of ‘Ab jaago, jeevan ke prabhaat’ as part of my class syllabus.

How were you introduced to Gurushala?
I was introduced to Gurushala by my teacher, Kalpana Rajauriya. Gurushala’s section that I enjoy the most is its Content Library. I watch stories and concept videos of English and Mathematics. Gurushala has helped me a lot during my online studies as I have used Gurushala regularly. I have attended Gurushala’s Live Classes, Summer Champ Sessions and other occasional events.

What is the one thing you like the most about your favorite teachers?
One thing that I admire the most about my favourite teachers is the number of opportunities given by them for extra activities such as games, competitions etc. This really helps us to learn about things we are interested in.

What is your best memory so far with your teachers or your friends?
The day of celebration of 15th August 2019 was one of the happiest days of my life because on that day, we celebrated Independence Day virtually with Gurushala on Google Meet. We even danced to some of the patriotic songs. It was a very enjoyable moment for me. I was even given a gift from Amazon by Gurushala which was a school bag.

Sofia aspires to become a teacher or a doctor when she grows up as she wants to help the underprivileged in all ways possible. With teachers and students who are willing to learn and willing to use that knowledge for the betterment of others, we can make this a better society to live in.
