I often get asked by people, why is my life like this or why am I in this situation? And my simple answer to these questions is that our life and situations are reflections of our thoughts and actions. Or simply put, our life is the manifestation of where we have focused our energy throughout our life. Helpful and constructive thoughts carry positivity and bright colors in our life and when we follow them with positive action, it not only brings meaning to our lives and of others, but it also creates inner peace.
This quote summarises it all, “Watch your thoughts for they become words, watch your words for they become actions, watch your actions for they become habits, watch your habits for they become your character, watch your character for they become your destiny.” It all emanates from the mind, positivity leaves you upbeat while negativity leads to depression. In order to understand our thought process, we need to understand that our thoughts give birth to our actions. It will tell us a hidden story that we all want the answers for. We need to put in efforts to bring positivity into our lives. The more we water them, the more they will grow and soon will have a field of blooming flowers. You'd need the tools of patience and determination to get there.
We are guarded against the thorns of negativity, hate, resentment, and other low-frequency feelings by living life in the field of these pleasant flowers. And if we get a few, we can dig them out deliberately when they're little. We can become an efficient farmer with time, who knows his crop and is powerful enough to protect his crop. Similarly, when we cultivate the habit of thinking good, our mind gets full of happiness and we will be able to see good in anything with a good positive outlook.
Positivity fills our life with freshness, we are excited about living and looking forward to every moment of life and what it offers, and we look forward to every new day of life. Positivity brings meaning to the world, to our life, and to the lives of others when we pursue our ideas with appropriate acts. Such acts support, uplift, and inspire others. This will offer real fulfillment and a sense of achievement.
Something will happen that will make us feel frustrated, overwhelmed, or defeated. The key is to realize that it’s not what happens to you that matters rather it’s how we choose to respond. The path that our life will take will be decided by our capacity to think positive thoughts. We become aware that we are here for a split second and that we’ve got to embrace every event as if it’s part of the journey. Events can be happy or sad and that's given what we do with the events in our life is up to us. We need to train our mind, just like a muscle, to think positively. We should always watch our emotions, practice constructive, supporting, and uplifting thoughts to fill our minds, and let our actions bring meaning to others' lives. Only meaningful ideas and deeds will make a positive impact which at this moment in time, this world needs the most.
They say it’s all in the mind. The choice is yours, how you use your mind, right or wrong, kind or means, love or hate, big-hearted or senseless. The more you opt for the first of those choices, the more love, kindness, big-heartedness, and mindfulness you will be blessed in life with. When you harness the power of positivity, it can change every aspect of your life. Are you ready to change your life?
