I am associated with Gurushala: A teacher Development Portal since 2013 and visited many states. During my visit, I came to know many new things and many interesting stories of teachers and principals.

Today I am going to share one very interesting story that how can a teacher take attendance in a unique way. The teacher's name is Ruchi & she is a teacher from a private school in Delhi. She was very enthusiastic and I must say, creative as well. 

We were discussing about the program learning and challenges.

She shared that she does not take the attendance by the student's name. She has given some unique name to their students and the name she has given are CO2, H2O, Ph, O2, and many more chemistry values. The reason to provide these name to students is, one, they learn the formula and full form and second, students pay full attention because they had to listen to their new names and respond. 

So this inspired me a lot. If a teacher wants she can help their student using different ways and try new things.

So don’t wait teachers,  you can apply this unique way of attendance in your online classes and try something new so that your class will be more interactive and more importantly, students will learn new things as well.

Different ideas to take attendance 

For maths, You can allot some maths formula to the students 

For English, you can give them many things from grammar like noun, pronouns, tenses.

In Hindi, you can give some names from hindi grammar or can allot names of famous poems
