Things may come to those who wait…but only the things left by those who hustle.” – Abraham Lincoln”

In life, whatever we do us always move towards what we want. Whether in reality, those are big, worthy, life-changing goals or little pleasures or addictions for the moment. Therefore in order to set a worthy goal that you really, really would want to attain, will give you a 'new high' or a motivation to hustle. The key is to make it big enough so you get excited towards achieving it but not so big so you don't believe that you can’t achieve it. It needs to be only in the “sweet spot range.”

Now we know 'desire' is one thing that can push you to 'hustle' and the second thing is the reason - your 'big motivation' called 'your why'. Why do you need to hustle? What is the reason for your hustle in life? Let's say I have a girlfriend, and we both are madly in love and can't live without each other. And let's say, for no reason, she gets really sick. She gets maybe some kind of serious disease and the only way for her to live is to do the surgery but that operation costs a whole lot of money. Now because I madly love her and would do anything for her, I will hustle my sleep off so I can make the necessary money for her operation. This is basically what makes you hustle is either something that can pull you - a strong desire or something that can push you ahead with a big reason.

The key is to make it real and on only emotional levels. People are not necessarily lazy because it’s rational and logical not to put any effort and save energy. People are normally lazy because they don't feel like doing something 'extra' for achieving their dreams. Be the master of your own physique and take power and control over the way you feel. Use your mind and emotions to get excited and energize to hustle and get what you want. This is what makes me hustle as I take power and control over my mind and body and direct all my efforts into a worthy goal that has a big reason for its achievement. Now, what are those reasons? Whether Career, Health, Relationships, and Happiness and without sacrificing any of them.

Now you may think career, health, and relationships will contribute to your success and this is true but I’m talking about your happiness while you’re achieving all of this. First, the 'Career Hustle' what do you want to do so badly that you would sacrifice eating, sleeping, and your sanity for it? That’s the career choice for you. If you’re lost about what career path to take, read this.

The next one is the 'Health Hustle', and how much fun is it to be a millionaire if you don’t have the stamina to go on adventures and enjoy your lifestyle? Figure out your diet, your exercise routine, and how to get yourself to total human optimization. Your body has to last you 80–100 years, treat it right.

Another one is the 'Relationship Hustle' now are there at least five people who you could call that would help you out at a moment's notice? If the answer is yes, you’re doing a great job. If the answer is no, start to rethink everything. Those relationships with your family, friends, and partners are going to bring you love, new experiences, and meaningful life. Finally, coming to the 'Happiness Hustle' on a scale of 1–10, how happy are you right now? Is your answer is around 8 or higher? But if your answer is 7 or lower, what do you need to fix right now to get yourself to an 8–10?

Most of us are average. About average intelligence, average athleticism, and average physique and most of us have had some setbacks in our life that can serve as a disadvantage. In short, we’re pretty much on the same playing field as millions and millions of people. Spend the day working your day job, but then moonlight with your own business until you’re established enough to quit your corporate job. You’ll have to hustle to get to this point, though you’ll have to forgo a lot of sleep and spend your evenings and weekends working.
The first piece to recognize is that there is the key difference between wanting to be a hustler and becoming a hustler. This is an issue sweeping the world today as young professionals are sitting back watching others live their life to the fullest without making the steps to achieve a lifestyle that they truly want. Many of these individuals have amazing and inspirational aspirations but that's all they have. They don't have the fire in the belly or the burning desire to succeed or to support the fact that they are actually out there chasing these ambitious goals.

As a result of having unfulfilled goals, these people find themselves in a depressing and often anxious state. From here, they begin to make excuses on why they are unable to achieve the goals and dreams that they truly want. A true hustler, however, doesn't make excuses. They show up. And by showing up I mean they make the effort and put in the hours to get closer to achieving the life of their dreams.

These are the opposite of a hustler who is someone who doesn't give their 100%. Unconsciously these people don't put in 100% because if they fail their talent can be questioned. However, by putting in 80% and failing they can look at those around them and say: "If I would have worked harder, I would have succeeded." This is not the mentality of a hustler. If you compare those successful Indian CEOs of multinational corporations today is the same reason that those Indian executives are real ‘hustlers’.

A hustler takes personal responsibility for failure more often than they will take responsibility for success. A hustler puts in the blood, sweat, and tears with one intent - success. They don't see failure as an option and will do all they can to achieve their goals. This determination is the driving factor behind their obsession with working hard. A hustler strives to perfect their craft daily and doesn't flinch when someone tells them their idea is crazy.

A hustler basically believes and recognizes that they have a core advantage over anyone else. This advantage is not in their ability to work hard but instead in their ability to work smarter. For years, there have been books published and seminars given promoting different methods to persuade and influence people. A common suggestion found in these recommendations includes the idea of "Make 500 sales calls and sell 5 of product X". Meaning if you're willing to work harder than everyone else you'll have a slight advantage. And by slight, they mean one additional sale. What these guys are missing is something called Smart work.

‘Smart work’ is the ability to understand the dynamics of a conversation. It's all about frame control and understanding the cues that people give off unconsciously that provide you with an opportunity to control the frame. A Hustler is a lifelong student of Social Dynamics and Negotiation. They enjoy the company of people but enjoy analyzing their interactions so they can become a better communicator. Hustlers need to understand how to sell everything from a product to an idea. Hustlers never ‘BackTrack’ themselves and listen attentively & show concern while listening and they leave the arguments for the playground but finally give the customer an offer they can’t refuse by being upfront and blunt they crack the deal smartly.
Therefore, if you are honestly not obsessed with your hustle then you will not achieve’ hustler ‘status. A hustler loves the product or service they are offering and believes that it is solving an issue for those around them. At the end of the day, to do something well you need to enjoy doing it. Hustlers have found what they enjoy doing and wake up every morning excited to get closer to fulfilling their aspirations and goals for life.
