Life & Well Being A Teacher-Student Relationship

Relationships between teachers and students are very important. In the country, its importance is seen in the Vedic period from the time of the sages. At that time, the student was sent to the ashram of the Guru and there were only mothers, fathers, friends for the students. Students served the Guru and received knowledge from him. Here, this problem would not be limited to acquiring knowledge. Even in the life to come, if the student ever had any dilemma, he would take advice from his teacher and the teacher would show his disciple the right path and always blessed them.

In today's time also the relation between teacher and students is something like this, but now its form has changed. A teacher can be a friend to a student so that he can share all the things in his mind, he can be a mother to the student who always loves her and thinks about her well, he can be a father to the student who gives him his Scold him for mistakes, improves his mistakes and also praise him for his good works. When we used to go to school, our teachers would often say that teachers and students are like potters and potholes. Just as the potter kneads the clay and gives a shape to the pitcher by beating it, similarly when he beats the pitcher, he also supports it from inside the pitcher with one hand and takes care that the pot does not break. Similarly, a teacher also works to make his student a good person and citizen and to improve his future. Similarly, a teacher also works to make his student a good person and citizen and to improve his future. For this, he sometimes scolds or punishes the student, but he maintains that it has no negative effect on the student.

In my opinion, there should be fear of the teacher in the student, it is necessary for his discipline. But this fear should be respected rather than punished. When a student goes to do anything wrong, then he/she should think about the result, "how will my teacher feel about this work", "will my teacher be hurt by this?", if the student thinks these things, he too will be saved from doing something wrong.

A teacher's relationship with his student should be such that the student can speak his mind to the teacher in which he should not feel any kind of fear. A teacher should talk to his student from time to time, he should also play games occasionally. This will increase trust between them and will have a positive effect on their relationship. The student will then be able to share his problems with the teacher freely. The teacher should try to identify and refine the talent of his students.

Like when I started teaching as a teacher, students used to be scared of me. They hesitated to talk to me or ask me anything. But a lot has changed with time, now they talk to me, ask me, and participate in activities with me. And in today's present condition, when all the studies are going on online, then such students also ask questions that were never asked before. Students who used to sit silently in class, now interact with me. Now if a student has problems then he/she can personally discuss his/her problem with me.

This creates a happy and healthy classroom.
